California's on Going drought - Summer 2021

California is experiencing one of the most severe droughts in recent history.  With intense heat and little precipitation there has not been enough water to keep California's lakes, rivers, and reservoirs full.  This is happening throughout California.

With UCR located in Southern California it is important to see how the drought is affecting the region.  This article discusses the current "water supply alert" issued by the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) of Southern California.
