There should be no impact to the electrical power source. The FS Electric Shop will be conducting some high voltage switching and is not anticipating any disruptions at this time. Facilities Services staff will be onsite monitoring the work and will communicate any updates. As always, if you have sensitive research equipment or systems and you have not connected them to uninterrupted power devices, such as UPS and surge protectors, consider doing so in case they are impacted by unforeseen power interruption. Additional information can be found from our partner at EH&S: https://ehs.ucr.edu/laboratory/utilities. It is recommended that any equipment using emergency power be plugged into a red, e-power outlet, such as -80 freezers, spectrometers, and air compressors, in addition to surge protectors. |
