Tuesday, September 2 from 4:00 am to 8:00 am Robert Gordon Sproul Hall Shut off the high-voltage load interrupting switch to replace three failed breakers.

The main power will be turned off to the building. This will affect building air, heating, cooling, steam, access control (including card badges), lighting, building servers, and routers. There will be no emergency power for emergency lighting, exit signs, and red power outlets. 

Lighting in the building may not be sufficient for occupants to walk around during the outage. All data systems that are not backed up and any ongoing experiments should be prepared for a four-hour power outage. All occupants of the building with badge-only access will not have access to the building.

Friday, September 5 from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Multidisciplinary Research Building Tie in natural gas service for the PD&C UTLF construction project. PD&C has partnered with Facilities Services and building contacts for this shutdown. Natural gas will be turned off, impacting any equipment or research requiring natural gas.

Friday, September 26 from 5:00 am to Sunday, October 5 at 3:00 pm Athletics & Dance Building
Materials Science & Engineering
Multidisciplinary Research Building
Tie in high-pressure steam and condensate service, and upgrade vaults 31-32 infrastructure, for the PD&C UTLF construction project. PD&C has partnered with Facilities Services and building contacts for this shutdown.

Heat and steam will be turned off to the buildings. This will affect building heating, hot water, sterilization, autoclave operations, and other laboratory processes.

The Multidisciplinary Research Building, MRB, will have boilers to provide steam for cage washers, sterilizers, and domestic hot water to the building from Tuesday, September 30 through Thursday, October 1, during the hours of 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Highlander Union Building
Multidisciplinary Research Building
Tie in the chilled water system and replace two 20-inch butterfly valves on the chilled water supply and return in vault 30 for the PD&C UTLF construction project. PD&C has partnered with Facilities Services and building contacts for this shutdown. There will be no chilled water supplied to the buildings or processed chilled water available in the buildings for comfort cooling or equipment. All labs and classrooms requiring chilled water will be affected.
